“James Kalm wrapped things up in the studio and headed out for some visual culture field work last evening. Thinking the weather would remain as the same balmy spring day, he left Brooklyn with only a hoodie. Hitting 10th Avenue, looming storm clouds from New Jersey cut open, and the shower started. Fortunately, your reporter was close enough to David Zwirner (the object of this excursion) that he could duck in, 15 minutes before closing and record video of the Marlene Dumas show “Myths & Mortals”.”
